Style: Ambient Electronica

"An ambient journey through a range of emotions arising from the loss of loved ones. At times melancholic, at others strangely soothing. Field recordings, guitar and banjo mandolin are among the sound sources used in this the fourth instalment of Shame File Music's Terra Australis Incognita series of new Australian experimental music." - r.domain

In-Tune: The Great Mundane

Style: Electronica

"Hip-hop styled beats with a laidback tinge of idm, "Press On" is a well executed display of quality production and tight engineering. This is an introduction not to be missed. Since the time that he was a child, Jeffrey Acciaioli has been surrounded by music. He has had 7 years of training in classical piano, started playing the bass at 13, and then later joined the Walled Lake Western Symphony. He has also taken music theory and sight singing courses to better his knowledge of music. His unique blend of hip hop and electronic music appeals to a wide range of listeners, and his background in jazz and classic music creates a movement of sound that can easily please the mind of any casual listener." - The Great Mundane / Kendra Unique

In-Tune: Igor O Vlasov

Style: Electronica

"Born in Volgograd in 1980, later moving to Moscow, Igor became interested in electronic music at the ripe old age of 13 years. In 1994, he began to produce his own tracks along the lines of older skool house and techno. Then in 1998, Igor's first professional works came about when he started to produce deep house tracks for his electronic project named the "Squid Project". In 2002, 'Squid Project' was renamed to 'S.P.C.'. Later he formed a techcore/techno project named 'Celtic Rhythm' for producing danceable minimal tech tracks for clubs. A versatile producer with projects spanning deep, minimal, experimental, downtempo and dub styles, Igor is interested in the genre entanglement as a means to birth unique sounds. His influences include Kraftwerk, Front 242, Tangerine Dream, Abba, Juan Atkins, Robert Hood, Plastikman/Richie Hawtin, Sven Vath, Adam Bayer, Mr. Fingers/Larry Heard, Frankie Knuckles and Deep Dish." - Igor O Vlasov

In-Tune: Replica

Style: Electronica

"REPLICA is inspired by the idea that the future forseen in prevoiuos generations stayed as a romantic dream that never happened. THE FUTURE WAS YESTERDAY. Taking the sound of late seventies and early eighties electronica and cold atmospheric rock experiments as LOW from David Bowie. Replica is a contradiction between future and past in rock music made with electronic means. Despite their low profile image and a considerable young career, Replica has managed to collaborate with, being compiled by, or remix artists such as CLIENT, PLACEBO, DJ HELL, SEXY LUCY, SONIDO LASSER DRAKAR and ZOE. Their first single 'Sorry' is a collaboration with Client and will be on stores later this year."

In-Tune: Sonagraphie

Style: Electronica

"November brings the first cold, Songraphie lend us their "Toys" to make our room warmer with some childish memories. The duo from Moscow, formed by Ilya and Paul Bochorov, skilled and talented producers, has created something different from everything they ever pubblished for Otium, their former label. These "toys" are the result of a very particoular mix between lot of different styles and influences; clicks & cuts, hard beat, idmish melodies, broken-tek, ambient pads, 8bit synths, glitchy rhythm and much more. During these nine tracks the word "eclectic" is explained very well. Little jewels perfectly assembled that will remain imprinted in your memory; Ilya and Paul are the puppeteers of this wonderful toys theatre made of glitchs, heavy compressed beats, low frequencies, and an incredible quantity of talent. Take them seriously." - Sonagraphie

In-Tune: Sectorchestra

Style: Electronica

"This release is special. Not only because it's Danny Kreutzfeldt's return to Thinner after his last EP from fall 2003 but also because it is the farewell of his Sectorchestra project. "No Morchestra" is a vast collection of tracks created in the past years that are now compiled into a constitutive album format. Sectorchestra is/was Danny Kreutzfeldt's project for abstract atmospheric house constructions. The contributions Danny did on Thinner under the Sectorchestra guise were known to be discrete releases, critics favourites, with both richness and diversity in terms of sound and aesthetics. Although this is the last Sectorchestra one, this vibrant danish bedroom scientist always has many other projects running so just check out his homepage to see his upcoming releases." - Sectorchestra / Thinner

Style: Electronica

"and this she left him with. words torn from history books, from which he could never seem to learn the lessons taught by cultures past; Pasted to paper, signed with lipstick, and stuck to his door. A final 'Dear John' Which would prove to be true. Where did she go, how would she... how COULD she survive on her own with out him. Suddenly he knew exactly what he had to do. No more could he sit quitely and let his dear aurora walk around the house aimlessly like a prefabricated creature in a 1960's beach horror film. In-Tune: Brian and Chris

Style: Electronica

"The brian_and_chris line-up consists of Brian Fraser and Chris Palmatier. Since their inception in the late 1990s, they have earned a solid reputation with their post rock/electronica hybrid. Describing their music as 'genre-free,' the two have released several critically acclaimed recordings. The All-Music Guide gave their last CD Vectors a four-star rating, calling it, 'trip-hop without the hop.' Their music explores the intersecting edges of rock, acoustic music, IDM, downtempo, dub, and anything else that strikes the fancy of the players. 'Our music-making process as brian_and_chris is intimately tied up in the use of the studio as an instrument,' says Palmatier. 'The use of digitally based recording allows us to use processes more commonly found in 'electronic' musics - arranging songs via editing, using high edit-densities, and the like - while continuing to create the sounds using actual instruments as opposed to using sampling or software synthesis. It's this juxtaposition of traditional instrumentation with studio-based music processes that allows us to do what we do - go from idea to finished object - without compromise.'" - Brian and Chris

In-Tune: Leaf

Style: Electronica

"After seven years of composing gritty yet ethereal abstract trip hop, Steve Wick is now ready to meet the world. A well respected producer in Dallas, Texas, Wick has layed down backing beats and produced dark anthems for scores of underground artists in Dallas. The Leaf project is a collaboration between Wick and members of Biogliphic, 32nd Kalpa, Blunt Force, and other area producers, a melding of dirty hip hop rhythm, crystalline melodies, insane sampling, and smooth organic instrumentation. Consistently dark and weighty, Leaf's compositions bring to mind some of the best abstract trip hop artists [DJ Shadow, DJ Signify, Subtle, Tricky], but their keen sense of place and mood, and unexpected uplifting moments set them apart as something worth notice. This is somber downtempo for dreamers, dealers, light sleepers, and everyone who knows the taste of concrete in the midnight air." - Leaf

In-Tune: The Karminsky Experience

Style: Electronica

"I look at it myself as the beginning of an exploration," muses one sampled voice on this London duo's new LP. And indeed, exploration is what these club all-stars are all about. Often that means clever remixes of other artists' tunes, but the group's new stuff is all their own. On "The Power of Suggestion," Kaminsky smartly blends '70s funk, acid jazz, Indian sitar, and big beats, sounding like the DJ crew George Harrison never got to form." - The Karminsky Experience

"Slippery beats that will test your dancing skills to the limit. A King Crimnson loving, 'lounge' techno ensemble perform their strident and rubbery beats for your pleasure. The FORMBANK project is Pete Kelly's (AKA Igneous Flame) side project. He describes the material as 'Quirky, fierce, humorous, electro-tunes'. Being rhythmically based electronica, they have been (inappropriately) described as Trance and Techno, But, as Brian Eno said, 'Most words are good enough...'" - Formbank
